The news reported by Robert D Elliot the latest news is as follows I was awaken at 545 am this morning because the neihgbors dog was barking at a cat in a tree i called the owner and them about it and they said dont be angry couse it woke them too. i said put a sock in the dog. now they are angry with me about the hole matter. i say let them pout. it is a bulldog why don't i tell it to be quiet?? it wont hear me.

I am trying my best to think of something interesting that happened in Gabbardtown this week but am coming up short so far. It is a small place so not much happens but this is better than being scared by bears.

•Bear scare I robert d elliott heard there was a bear close to my home. However I have not seen nothing yet. If I see one I will run. About the bear some people say it was a big bear and some people say it is a little bear. I heard the state forestry had set traps for it.

I hope they got the bear. I would sleep better over the whole thing. Good riddance if they caught it . Sometimes I go out to get a breath of fresh air and then it might catch me. My garbage will be a lot safer if they catch him.

Bob Finds Cure for Common Cold

I had a cold last week. I felt bad last saturday, however i feel somewhat better today. I let it wear off. I stuck close to the house and I slept it off. No pills, no drinks but i might have drunk if i had it to drink, the way I felt. My advice for the cure is to tuff it out. You will live. You won't feel good but you will live.

The Big Snow Storms

did bob clear the roads in the reacent snowstorm no i did not. i was not feeling good at the time. it meltede away in about three days. did i stay at home no i went to work on that week.
i only remember one day out of eight years of missing work on account of a snow storm. the hospital does not take snow days.
back in 1957 when i was only 9 years old i remember 1 deep snow. my mom and older sister got out and cleaned a path out to the waterhole. the snow wwas about 16 or 17 inches. i stayed inside that time. i stayed inside 2 or three days because i was lazy.
